Year of Color

Process over outcome – this phrase inspired a personal project of designing one arrangement every day in an effort to focus more on a centered creative process, as opposed to outcome and perfection driven design. Starting with white in April, every month moved through a different color to produce a gradient effect throughout the year. Arrangement mediums consisted of flowers, unconventional materials, and headpiece builds. Each main design photo was accompanied by an ingredient flat lay, and a detail shot as seen below. All items were photographed in natural light, in my dining room, with a Pixel 4a. A selection from each month is displayed on this page, but the full project can be seen here on Instagram.
